We’ve been down this road before; very recently actually. Manchester United players growing dissatisfied with the methods and tactics of Manager Louis van Gaal. You already know how the media feels- we’ve heard the word “boring” incessantly.

You also know what the supporters’ sentiment is. Numerous polls have conveyed that a potential Van Gaal sacking would be quite popular.

According to the Sun, “Van Gaal is losing the dressing room, with two senior players reportedly speaking up after the 1-1 draw with Leicester late last month.”

ESPN FC also has a story today stating that the unrest inspired by Van Gaal greatly concerns the board at Old Trafford right now.

Goal keeper David de Gea, probably the team’s co-MVP this season (center back Chris Smalling has been the other) says the stories of discord are just not true.

Inside United, an official magazine put out by the club itself quotes De Gea:

“There’s a great atmosphere. The dressing room is very together and united, they are a great set of lads and we’re all very happy with the group of players that we have and I think that’s really important in a team if it wants to achieve big things.”

Of course, what else is he supposed to say? He’s reciting all the pre-approved athlete talking points here. I guess only people who are actually inside the dressing room know for sure who’s right- De Gea, or the sources that the Sun claims to have.
