Manchester United Transfer Talk: Declan Rice, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford

The mid November international break is certainly the perfect time to talk some transfer rumors, as the January window will be here before you know it. In this article we focus on Manchester United, and we begin with West Ham United contract rebel Declan Rice. The versatile defender/midfielder reportedly makes £3,500-a-week and rejected an offer said to be worth around £20,000-a-week.

That’s because he thinks he can get a rise in pay grade at a destination that isn’t east London.

According to a report in the Express, several teams are interested, and that list includes Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Borussia Dortumund. The Daily Star reports that Jose Mourinho is a personal fan of the 19-year-old, and as you might have heard once or twice, United are looking for an upgrade at central defender.

Rice can play at that slot, and also as a defensive midfielder.

Elsewhere, Paul Pogba just said, five days ago that #Pogback was “the best feeling ever.” Yes, returning to Manchester United in the summer of 2016, on a then record breaking transfer fee deal, meant that much to him.

So with that in mind, we can’t help but feel a little skeptical of this report from Italian newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport  (h/t Calciomercato.com) that the midfielder has “already informed his former Juventus teammates that he wants a return to Turin.”

I guess we’ll just have to see about that one. We stay with the ruling oligarchs of Serie A for our final item, which concerns Juve “compiling a dossier on Marcus Rashford.”

The Evening Standard reports that the club are “admirers of the England international and have placed his name on a list of prospective transfer targets.”
