Paul Pogba Says Returning to United was “the best feeling ever”

Paul Pogba has made some news-worthy public comments that have quelled talk he is unsettled at Old Trafford, and squashed rumors of a move away this summer.

Pogba, who earlier this season invited speculation he could be unhappy at the club due to some arcane comments in social media postings and post match interviews, now says that returning to Manchester was “the best feeling ever,” and that his desire to succeed at the club has “never changed.”

The Frenchman broke the world transfer fee when he moved back to United from Juventus in the summer of 2016 for £89 million, a deal marketed as #Pogback.

“When I came back to United, it was the best feeling ever,” the midfielder said to Inside United, the club’s official publication.

“I came back home. I always dreamed of playing for United, to have many games and score goals. Nothing had really changed, except for maybe the team and the manager, but the rest of the club was the same.”

Pogba, who first joined the club as a teenager in 2009, has been linked with a return to Juventus, and also a move to Barcelona in the transfer rumors section of the papers this season. Also, his feud with manager Jose Mourinho has created the narrative that the 25-year-old might want out of the club.

The words that Paul Pogba said in this interview though completely shoot down those ideas.

“I just came back home, it was like I didn’t really leave – I just went on holiday! It was a great feeling to come back home,” Pogba added. “It was great to come back, to feel the air of Manchester. That has never changed.”
