Conor McGregor, the 32-year-old retired MMA legend, is enjoying his post-fighting life. He’s also showcasing his athleticism, for sports outside of the octagon, and what we’ve seen is really impressive.
It was truly UFC News meeting football news when McGregor took to his official Instagram page, posted video of his shooting skills, tagging Real Madrid and Spain national team captain Sergio Ramos in the post. McGregor wrote to Ramos, who is also known for being a tough, physical bad boy: “What do you think [Sergio Ramos]? We Are The Forge!!!”
“class, mate! Fancy a training session at [Real Madrid]? More than welcome to join us anytime,” the 34-year-old replied. Ramos has previously used the face of MMA’s Billi Strut move as a celebration on the pitch, so this was indeed another example of game recognizing game.
McGregor, a man who is also synonymous with Irish whiskey, sounds like he will eventually take him up on the offer.
Here’s video of the MMA brawler’s soccer skills:
And here below you can see the defensive stalwart, when he posted a video on Instagram, from Madrid trainingm celebrating with the trademark strutting walk that McGregor is known for beginning his fights with. This is certainly the definition of swagger.
