President Barack Obama and the first family enjoyed the performance of singer/actor/black man trapped in a white man’s body Justin Timberlake last night. Timberlake performed his cover of Otis Redding’s classic “Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay” during the White House’s celebration of Memphis Soul.
PBS will air an edited version of tonight’s concert on April 16th. {Real Clear Politics}
My Twitter biography, and post signature proudly states that President Barack Obama follows me on Twitter. Yes, he follows close to 64,000 people, but I still think it’s cool. My Doctor thinks it’s really cool. And yes, I know that advertising this also has the potential to alienate half of my sports fan readership, but so be it. I try to stay as apolitical as possible when the situation calls for it. I think President Barack Obama follows me just to keep up with Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox updates anyway. “Don’t sleep on Barry O.!”
I bet the favorite Timberlake jam of President Barack Obama is probably “suit and tie. suit and tie” though. Because when you’re the President, it’s how you need to dress.
