The Johnny Manziel “suspension” is the dumbest thing ever. Not the dumbest college football story ever. Or the dumbest NCAA violation and infraction ever. It is the dumbest thing ever. Yes, the DUMBEST THING.
Johnny Manziel is not a smart guy. We already knew this. The NCAA is arbitrary and capricious. And sometimes powerful. Sometimes powerless. And the autograph seekers? The collectible salesmen? They’re primordial ooze. Texas A&M? They look like idiots here too; for suspending Johnny Manziel for a half versus Rice.
This is exactly like the NBA Finals between Miami and San Antonio- there’s no one to root for.
It’s impossible to back any of these people.
Johnny Manziel is suspended for a half in what is essentially a pre-season scrimmage versus Rice?? HE WAS ONLY GOING TO PLAY A HALF ANYWAY!
HOW IS THIS A PUNISHMENT?
Suspend him for a half in a SEC game! Suspend him for a half versus Alabama. That’s a real punishment. It’s clear the NCAA doesn’t have the paper trail; it’s obvious they don’t have the goods on Johnny Manziel. And A&M is trying to look like they’re standing up for their cash cow; the one that the Manziels believe hasn’t done enough for them. Which they could be right about. But Johnny Manziel is getting less likable by the day.
And when he’s pit against adult autograph seekers/merchants. Wow!
That’s like the scum of the Earth right there. Even though this Johnny Manziel story has the dumbest ending possible, I’m glad it’s over. I’m happy we won’t have to talk about this crap anymore.
