Spurs got their Premier League season back on track after an opening day defeat to Everton. Despite going down 1-0 on Sunday, they rallied back in brilliant fashion and won the game ended 5-2. The star of the show was Heung-min Son who scored four goals and terrorised the Saints defence throughout.

It was just seven years ago that Gareth Bale left Tottenham Hotspur to join Real Madrid and become a  Galactico, breaking the world transfer fee record with his £89.5 million move. However, his tenure with Los Blancos ended with controversy, stress and strife.

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho told BT Sport after Thursday’s UEFA Europa League game against Lokomotiv Plovdiv that their schedule is a “total joke.” 

Spurs have already played two games this season and there are many more to come this month. The match against Lokomotiv was one of potentially three UEL playoff games that Tottenham will have to win to reach the group stages of the Europa League.

Tottenham Hotspur got their 20/21 season off to a dreadful start yesterday, putting in an awful performance that resulted in a 1-0 home loss to Everton. Heading into the weekend, it looked this match-up might be the best overall, at least on paper, of the opening weekend.
