Big 10 Tournament Preview and Predictions

March 8, 2011 By paulmbanks

As mediocre as the Big Ten has looked this season (and a major reason why it looks so mediocre is because expectations were sky-high in October) that big muddled middle mush should make for an exciting conference tournament. There really is very little difference between seeds 4-7. And the league is indicative of college basketball at large this season. When the brackets are … [Read more...] about Big 10 Tournament Preview and Predictions

Lockout Threat Leaves Indianapolis Colts’ Agenda in Limbo

March 7, 2011 By paulmbanks

Well, it hasn't happened yet. The extension of the NFL collective bargaining agreement's expiration deadline by one day Thursday and then by seven days Friday has had the football world -- including the Indianapolis Colts organization and fan base -- holding its collective breath. However, if and when the CBA does expire -- I'm still inclined to believe it will -- Jim … [Read more...] about Lockout Threat Leaves Indianapolis Colts’ Agenda in Limbo

Blame for Disappointing Illini Season Goes Well Beyond Senior Class

March 7, 2011 By paulmbanks

eric_gordon

In the bracket of non-existent, 2009-2011 Illini basketball leadership has got to be a #1 seed. And I’m not singling out Coach Bruce Weber, or point guard/star player Demetri McCamey. I’m talking about the total team's overall tendency to just NOT get things done together as a team. If Notre Dame is Gestalt, and a cohesive unit playing well beyond the sum of their parts, … [Read more...] about Blame for Disappointing Illini Season Goes Well Beyond Senior Class

Milwaukee played as hard as they have … [Read more...] about Milwaukee Bucks falter down the stretch in loss to Boston Celtics

#1 Ohio State Gets Last Laugh on #10 Wisconsin

March 6, 2011 By paulmbanks

Big 10 Champions

After the alleged "spitting incident" in Madison less than a month ago, Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan said, "All I know is we won the game, deal with it." By dealing with it, did he mean for the Buckeyes to embarrass the Badgers for 40 minutes the next time the two teams played? If so, Ohio State sure "dealt with it" on Sunday, winning 93-65. By: Justin Mertes-Mistretta … [Read more...] about #1 Ohio State Gets Last Laugh on #10 Wisconsin
