Adrien Rabiot is no longer with Paris Saint-Germain, but where he’ll ply his trade next season remains to be seen. The 24-year-old central midfielder has been targeted by several teams, and he confirmed to Corriere dello Sport that he is now down to just two- Manchester United and Juventus.

Deemed surplus to requirements at PSG, he’ll no doubt find better opportunities to showcase his talents and contribute to the team at either Juve or Old Trafford. Speaking while on summer holiday in Tuscany, the Frenchman revealed this mother/agent has been in the talks with the club that dominates Serie A.

“I like Italy very much. Staying here is wonderful, you can rest and recharge your batteries,” he said when the conversation turned to Juventus.

“A demanding season awaits me. Juve came looking for me and we talked, but I can’t say anything else. I still don’t know where I’ll go. They’re a great club, where every good player would like to play.”

With regards to Manchester United, Adrien Rabiot offered the following: “The same applies to them. I still have to make a decision. I’m on holiday for now. You’ll know soon.”

So perhaps Rabiot will be the second signing of the summer for United after Daniel James? There is certainly a big whole in midfield now with: last summer’s only notable signing Fred being a bust, Juan Mata still very much potentially heading out the door, Ander Herrera confirming his exit, Paul Pogba also potentially on the trading block and Nemanja Matic often struggling this past season.

Wherever he goes, the situation is certain to be an improvement over what his life was like in Paris.
