Lebron James made some remarks that were…well, I guess it’s all in the eye of the beholder. You might call this confidence, or self-assuredness. I call it arrogance, cockiness. Or you might just think it “well, what’s he supposed to say in that situation?” I’ll give him this- Lebron James has a public persona that’s consistent.
He calls himself The King right there in his Twitter handle. James may have apologized for “The Decision,” but what he said here is in character with the type of person who would do such a thing as have a “The Decision.”
“I’m going to be one of the top four that’s ever played this game, for sure,” LeBron James said in an interview that aired on NBA TV. I know I know no one watches that channel but me.
“And if they don’t want me to have one of those top four spots, they’d better find another spot on that mountain. Somebody’s gotta get bumped, but that’s not for me to decide. That’s for the architects.”

Lebron’s top three by the way are Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. He was very decisive on that. I can’t argue with him there. He was less steadfast about his fourth choice: Oscar Robertson. James is in the prime of his career? He’s young, why are we even talking about the Lebron James legacy? It’s not really his fault we’re having this pointless discussion. It’s the media’s fault. This is an even worthless exercise than the “Peyton Manning legacy” storyline that was beaten to death during Super Bowl week.
