Liverpool FC Starting XI Prediction, Team News at AFC Bournemouth

afc bournemouth

Up next for Liverpool, as they continue their quest to end their league title drought, is a visit to the south coast where they’ll take on AFC Bournemouth. The Cherries are led by Eddie Howe, a manager whose name has been linked with a lot of the biggest open managerial jobs in world football right now.

However, it doesn’t look like he’ll be going anywhere, and he’ll lead his club into this clash at home against the league leaders sitting in 14th place. He’ll have a host of fitness concerns for this match, including David Brooks (ankle), Junior Stanislas (knee), Josh King (hamstring, both 14 Dec), Charlie Daniels (knee), Adam Smith (ankle), Steve Cook (wrist) and Andrew Surman (knee). All are out injured for this one.

2020 NFL Draft #1 Pick: Bengals, Giants Lead Race to the Bottom

For some NFL teams, the season effectively ended a long time ago. For the worst of the worst, the likes of the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants and others down in the dregs with them, it’s time to look ahead to the offseason, and most specifically, the 2020 NFL Draft, which will be in Las Vegas from April 23rd-25th.

For these teams, losing on the field is actually winning in the long run, as December means tanking time. It’s something to consider when betting on NFL Games this time of year- who might be tanking? The ultimate prize here is the #1 overall pick and as it stands right now, the Bengals have the inside track with their record currently 1-11.

Manchester Derby: Starting XI Predictions for United and City

manchester derby

The Manchester Derby is always special, and a fiercely contested rivalry match, every single time that it is staged. Saturday brings the first of this season’s two editions, with both clubs already out of the title race. Well, if Liverpool suffer an unforeseen collapse, and City get really hot, perhaps the defending champs can get back in the race for the league lead, but that’s a very long shot at best.

Currently third in the table, the Citizens host their intra-city rivals, who now sit sixth in the table. It’s going to be interesting to see what both managers do with their lineups in this one, as each side have a slew of injuries to contend with.

Manchester Derby Team News: Pogba, Martial, Rojo, Zinchenko, Aguero

manchester derby

The Manchester Derby is no doubt the highlight fixture of the Premier League weekend, but it’s a match that will see many star players out due to injury on both sides. For visiting Manchester United, this clash has long been declared the return date for midfielder Paul Pogba, but his status for this one still remains in doubt.

England’s most expensive player ever has not featured since late September due to ongoing ankle and foot problems. He has just five appearances and two assists (no goals scored) in Premier League competition this season. If he doesn’t go, and at this point no one can really sat for sure if he will/won’t, United’s midfield could still see a boost in the return of Nemanja Matic, who might likely be ready to feature for the first time since October.

Chelsea FC Starting XI Prediction at Everton FC

Chelsea have been up and down lately, but they’ll need to be more consistent if they’re to finish in the top four this season. Up next is a visit to Everton, who are fighting to get back above the relegation zone. In what could be the final game for Toffees boss Marco Silva, should the hosts lose, the visitors may have the services of Tammy Abraham at their disposal.

Blues boss Frank Lampard said the knock on the young striker’s knee, which forced him out of action after 83 minutes yesterday, isn’t too bad. Overall, the youthful rebuild at Chelsea is going very smoothly, and seems to be ahead of schedule. Christian Pulisic is really blossoming right now, and Lampard believes the American has the potential to enter the top elite class of individual players in world football.

Chelsea FC at Everton Team News: Abraham, Barkley, Coleman, Delph

Fresh off an absolute drubbing by arch-rivals Liverpool in the Merseyside derby yesterday, Everton are in a very precarious situation. They are now squarely in the relegation zone and that likely means the end is near for manager Marco Silva. With his being on the brink of getting sacked, there are multiple reports indicating, a familiar face, David Moyes, could be in line to replace him.

When you’re fighting to save your job, the last kind of foe you need to face is a side that resides in the top four, but that’s who’s coming to Goodison Park in Chelsea FC. The Blues have been a bit injury-plagued and thus, up and down lately, but we’ll see what team shows up.

Notre Dame QB Coach Tommy Rees is Ideal for Northwestern OC Job

If there’s one candidate who perfectly fits the now vacant Northwestern offensive coordinator position, it’s Notre Dame quarterbacks Tommy Rees, (or as he’s known today Tom Rees). He actually grew up a Northwestern fan in very nearby Lake Forest, Illinois and he already has a good relationship with NU Head Coach Pat Fitzgerald.

Before we get to all that is right with Rees (we had an exclusive with him, and talked NU somewhat during 2018 Notre Dame Media Day), we do need to take some time to reflect on the Mick McCall era; which just ended. No one who makes free college football expert picks saw the rise of NU in 2018, when they went 8-1 in the league and won the Big Ten West division. Likewise no one in the prediction and forecasting business saw fall this season, in which they finished in last place, just 1-8 in conference play.

Purdue Boilermakers Absolutely Curb Stomp #5 Virginia Cavaliers End to End

mackey arena purdue

In a game where absolutely every single field goal made mattered, and then some, the Purdue Boilermakers got off to a rip roaring start against the reigning national champions and never looked back; cruising to a 69-40 win.

The #5 Virginia Cavaliers led 3-0, right off the first possession, but that was it. The Boilermakers quickly countered and found themselves up 26-9 at the under four media timeout in the first half. Defense lives here indeed as UVA were held scoreless for a stretch of nine minutes and nine seconds in the first half. Up 40-19 at the under 16 in the second half, it was all she wrote and Purdue had themselves what you would call “a signature win.”

Christian Pulisic Can Be Top Level in the World, Says Frank Lampard

Christian Pulisic was not brought to Chelsea by Frank Lampard; he was Maurizio Sarri’s guy. Signed in January for transfer the following summer, there was plenty of hype and anticipation among the Chelsea faithful for the American’s arrival.

In the early part of the season, Pulisic was buried on the Blues depth chart and his situation at his new club was not promising. However, he did produce in the rare instances that he was called upon, and his assist rate per game was excellent. The 21-year-old got more chances, and before you know it, a scoring spree ensued. His hat trick on October 26 was certainly the turning point/breakout performance.
