The NFL Draft is moving from April to May. Possibly. This NFL Draft move, should it happen, would help make May much less of a boring, dull sports month. Seriously, when the NBA Draft Combine is the highlight of the month, ouch babe. That’s why they tell you in the stock market, “sell in May and go away.”

According to CBS Sports:

The NFL Draft will very likely move to May, according to league sources, but to this point there has been no vote. NFL clubs were told via conference call late last week that the date could be changing, and possibly the start of the league year as well, but the teams were not provided any details and sources said there is nothing imminent in terms of changing the combine or the start of free agency. The NFL is concerned with a conflict with Radio City Music Hall next year, with the building booked for annual Easter shows and Easter falling on the draft weekend next season.

Super Bowl 50 and 51, the NFL Championship games for 2016 and 2017 were awarded today: According to the website of ESPN:

The 50th Super Bowl will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area and the NFL championship will go to Houston the following year.

Team owners voted Tuesday for the 49ers’ new stadium as host of the 2016 game. That facility in Santa Clara, Calif., is due to open for the 2014 season. The only previous Super Bowl played in northern California was at Stanford Stadium in 1985.

Houston, which also beat out Miami, was awarded the 2017 title game. Reliant Stadium, the home of the Houston Texans, has hosted once before, in 2004.
