The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome or “Humpdome” isn’t just the ugliest edifice in sports history, it’s the ugliest building in the history of sports. Yes, She Stadium in Flushing, New York was indeed a toilet. However, the Metrodome was even uglier than that toilet. With the Minnesota Twins having moved to Target Field a couple years ago; The Minnesota Vikings remain the last reason that monstrosity still exists.
The Minnesota Vikings had to go to great lengths to get approval from civic government to build a new football stadium in the Twin Cities.
As all NFL and professional teams should.
The Minnesota Vikings received approval, so now come the renderings and designs of the actual stadium. On Monday night, in the Guthrie Theater, the organization officially unveiled those designs for public consumption.

The 2013 season will be the final one the Minnesota Vikings will played in the horrid Metrodome. The last time the people of Minnesota enjoyed that building Prince was still dominating the pop chart. The Vikings new stadium won’t be finished until after 2016. Therefore the Vikings will play their home games at the University of Minnesota. They will share the Golden Gophers TFC Bank Stadium in 2014 and 2015.
