The Oklahoma tornadoes were devastating to the region. The Oklahoma tornadoes claimed quite a few lives and shocked us all. The Oklahoma tornadoes even claimed the life of famed storm chaser Tim Samaras and his son. Samaras was the top of his field and his passing may been have been the biggest headline of the recent Oklahoma Tornadoes.
In the aftermath, one prominent NASCAR racing champion is assisting in relief aid.
Reigning NASCAR truck series champion James Buescher, along with his wife Kris, will travel to Moore, Oklahoma on Wednesday to assist with cleanup and rebuilding efforts throughout the community that was most hit by the Oklahoma tornadoes last week. Buescher’s brother Michael lives in nearby Oklahoma City. James Buescher swept Keystone Light Poles at neighboring Texas in 2011. It’s great to see a major player in racing helping others less fortunate. Especially since the peak of storm season in Tornado Alley is far from over. There could possibly be more devastation and tragedy to come.
