It’s the season finale for Danica Patrick, as well as everyone else in running at the NASCAR Cup level. The very long season ends and a champion will be crowned at Miami’s Homestead Speedway. Said Danica Patrick of her sophomore season at the highest level:
“It will be good to get some rest. It’s a long season. It’s 40 weeks, with two off weekends. I’ve said for the last couple of weeks, I’m not tired from the season, I’m tired of the season. It will be nice to get away some and recharge for 2015.”
Danica is probably tired because, well, she hasn’t progressed this season at all. She’s still not competitive. Patrick will run this race with a new sponsor, the Florida Lottery. Many NASCAR drivers pick up a local sponsor for races such as these. So, Danica Patrick will join forces with the lottery. That’s horrible. You want to know what the lottery is? Your chance of winning it is 1-in-176,000,000. You have better odds of being struck by lightning while at the same time being eaten by a shark.
Here’s more on the lottery from HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver:
