5 most ANNOYING Stadium Sounds

useless-enthusiasm

Remember in high school, when your cheerleaders would keep doing their routines and chants despite your school being down by 40 points with three minutes to go? Well, the professional leagues have their own IRRITATING chants, sayings, and other assorted gibberish.

Except these are a million times more IRRITATING!!!!! Because they’re even more OVERPLAYED than the nonsensical jabbering of cheerleaders. Most of these sounds originate from oldies that are anything but goodie. Currently, the PA systems at NHL, NBA and Major League venues use of dozens of  these, and pretty much all of them are awful. The list ahead contains items that will make you want to stab your ears in with a scissors.

Blackhawks cut off Patrick Kane access; Kaner on his way out?

patrick-kane-passed-out

Is Patrick Kane on his way out of town? Are the Chicago Blackhawks sick of his antics? The team is not answering any media requests at all regarding Kaner’s allegedly getting drunk, passing out at a bar, choking a woman, and hurling anti-Semitic slurs while getting kicked out of a party at the University of Wisconsin.

The Hawks aren’t even bothering to do damage control or enact the spin machine on this one. They won’t even allow “Kaner” to talk to the Chicago Tribune, let alone any other media outlets. Taking it further, they won’t even allow anyone from the team to even discuss Kane.

Does this mean it’s the end of the Kane era in Chicago?

The Trib’s Steve Rosenbloom believes so. He also believes the silence means the Hawks regard the 23-year-old NHL superstar as guilty of what multiple people accuse him of doing.

This site’s third highest ever single post is a collection of ten extremely attractive Canadian female celebrities.  I came up with the idea upon returning from the Great white north this past Canada Day.

Rift between Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman? Coach Q to Canadiens?

q-stache

It’s quite possible Chicago Blackhawks Coach Joel Quenneville may not be back next season, even if he is under contract. Coach Q. and the Montreal Canadiens could be a perfect fit.

One relationship that appears to be anything but perfect is that between Quenneville and GM Stan Bowman. It’s actually rather strained.

Hockey Night in Canada Hotstove regarding the future of Montreal’s vacant head coaching job:

The Chicago Blackhawks Patrick Kane is at it again. Or more likely, he’s been at it, but this time he’s been shutterbugged and published.  This is courtesy of Terez Owens. We have some fun pics for you. From the Terez Owens “tipster” comes this:

“I go to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and we had our biggest party of the spring this weekend called ‘Mifflin.’ Patrick Kane was here and was the drunkest person in Madison all day Saturday.

“Here is a pic of him passed out at our best bar, the Kollege Klub.”

Link Bank 5-7-11: Scarlett Johansson, Megan Fox (video), Cole Hamels bashing

megan fox cheerleader

Scarlett Johansson on how annoying everyday, regular people are when you’re a celebrity. I’m not being snarky. I agree with her.

“I’m constantly surprised by how rude people are. You’ll be having an intimate dinner with a friend and there’s somebody on the table behind with a cameraphone pointing at your face. I think, ‘I would never take a photo of someone without asking.’

“I’m not traumatized by it but I find it can bring out the worst in humanity sometimes.” (TVNZ)

Blackhawks announcer expert horse player, once won $497,000 on a bet

This is the one weekend, or at least the one day that people pretend to care about horse racing, so it’s high time we talk about someone who actually does truly care about horseracing. Chicago Blackhawks tv analyst Eddie Olczyk, is almost into equestrian matters as he is into hockey.

Olczyk, who currently is working the New York Rangers-Washington Capitals series, won a cup as a player with the Rangers in ’94 and coached the Pittsburgh Penguins from ’03-’05. But he’s accomplished a lot betting on horses too.

Eddie has won nearly a half a million dollars on a pick 6 bet.

Both teams won their opening-round series in five games.  While the Blues erased their 10-year series-winning playoff drought in impressive fashion by dispatching the San Jose Sharks, the 8th-seeded Kings pulled off the Stanley Cup playoff’s biggest upset by eliminating the top-seeded and President’s Trophy-winning Vancouver Canucks.
