Ron Artest Defends His Pro Tiger Woods Blog Posting

Right now the anti-Tiger Woods bandwagon is so overcapacity, it’s busted both it’s axles. But there is at least one man out there bucking the trend, and he’s no stranger to polarization himself.

On Tuesday, Los Angeles Lakers star forward Ron Artest publicly stood up for Tiger Woods, saying he has made the same kind of mistakes as Tiger in a 500 word blog post. I talked with him about his post on Tuesday night, just before his Lakers won at Chicago 96-87.

ENOUGH! With Tiger Woods Media Overkill

Do we really care that much? Should we care that much? Do we have such empty and meaningless lives that the domestic squabbles of the Woods household matter infinitely more to us than everything else going on in the world? No! Make that NO! NO! NO! At least when the mainstream media was beating the healthcare issue to death, that was something relevant to our lives. Something that mattered. Even though (with the exception of Keith Olbermann) the MSM reported that issue with about as much accuracy as they did the run-up to the pre-emptive war in Iraq. But that’s another story. This time, it’s Michael Jackson all over again. It’s the sports news answer to Michael Jackson. It’s basically nothing but celebrity gossip masquerading as news, and I AM FREAKING SICK OF IT! Can we PLEASE move on to something else? It’s been almost a week now. WHOOOOOOOOO

Tiger Woods Injured in Car Accident?

Preliminary reports, cited from Florida State Highway Patrol documents, say Tiger Woods was injured in a car accident early Friday morning. According to the report, he was driving and hit a fire hydrant  or tree near his Florida home.  Alcohol doesn’t appear to be involved whatsoever.  However, the report does indicate he suffered injuries as a result of his accident. It begs the question: why don’t athletes with major dollars rely on hired drivers regardless of the situation? [Read more…]
