Deion Sanders espoused the ideals of sports journalism best:

“it’s our responsibility to tell them what’s real.”

You know doubt heard about his comments on NFL Network stating that his sources inside the 49ers locker room are telling him the Niners players not really playing for coach Jim Harbaugh and that they actually want him out.

Jim Harbaugh was asked about this during his weekly media briefing, and he referred to this as “a bunch of crap.” That didn’t stop Deion; who doubled down last night.

– “I have sources that wear football uniforms, coats, suits and ties…This is real. You’re talking about Trent Baalke. We know there is a rift between he and [Jim] Harbaugh. We all know that…That has trickled down into the locker room. Not only are my sources correct, I checked [with] three insiders from different networks and it’s 100 percent. You can shoot the messenger but the message is real.”

– Deion Sanders on his assertion that there is a disconnect between San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh and the players

Deion Sanders is never afraid to speak his mind. Listen to what he said about the issues facing the Dallas Cowboys this season, as well as his bold critique of the Chicago Bears run defense.

He had some interesting comments about the Green Bay Packers too.Although that’s nothing compared to what his NFL Network colleague Marshall Faulk had to say about the New York Jets wide receivers! Ooh that’s harsh.
