A couple years ago, Anthony Davis was a lightly recruited guard at Charter Perspectives High School in Chicago, Ill. Then he grew over half a foot, and became a big man prospect with guard skills. The rare combination of attributes led to his shooting up the recruiting rankings. He became a McDonald’s All-American, won all the national college basketball individual awards, and led the Kentucky Wildcats to a national championship in his one-and-done season.
Now the unibrowed one is set become the #1 overall pick by the NBA owned New Orleans Hornets.
The Sports Bank’s Ngozi Ekeledo stopped by the 2012 NBA Draft Combine’s Media Day and talked to the most-likely top draft pick about handling the media pressure and his familiarity with the city of New Orleans.
