Tottenham Hotspur commence their 2019-20 EFL Cup campaign with a third round clash at Colchester United tonight. Spurs will take on a mid-table League 2 (the third tier of English football side), and thus it’s a chance for some squad rotation.
Or at least as much rotation as possible given the roster injury and fitness situation right now. Tuesday’s clash could provide the opportunity to see the debut of Troy Parrott, the young Irish centre-forward that so many in the organization are very high on. Spurs are still on the hunt for their first trophy since 2008, and that glory was achieved in this same competition.
