The biggest Tottenham Hotspur news surrounding their clash against Manchester United Monday night pertains of course to goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. The Frenchman was arrested last night for drunken driving, and later released on bail. It’s a very serious issue, and Spurs released a very brief statement saying they are taking this seriously, and will handle the manner internally.
That could result in an internal suspension, and thus he gets dropped from the team. Lloris, the team captain has issued the following public apology:
“I wish to apologise wholeheartedly to my family, the club, my teammates, the manager and all of the supporters. Drink driving is completely unacceptable, I take full responsibility for my actions and it is not the example I wish to set.”
That said, let’s look at who Pochettino might start in his first team Monday night. Pochettino is fortunate in the fact his first team has full fitness.
Forward: Harry Kane
Attacking midfield: Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura
Centre-midfield: Erik Lamela, Eric Dier,
Back line: Ben Davies, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Kieran Trippier
Goalkeeper: Michele Vorm

It’s also worth mentioning how this match was supposed to feature a United supporter protest, consisting of an airplane flyover, against the club’s CEO Ed Woodward, but that got moved to next week’s league clash at Burnley. Thus, we have plenty of dysfunction going on right now with Manchester United.
