It took a long time and several delays but the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium finally opened this month. Those who have been there say that the White Hart Lane venue has been well worth the wait. The next Tottenham Hotspur Stadium first will be a NFL game, and it will happen when the Chicago Bears face the Oakland Raiders on October 6; in week five of the season.
Then, in week six, we’ll see the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play the Carolina Panthers at the brand new state of the art facility on October 13. These announcements were made by the National Football League ahead of the official schedule release later tonight.

The Bears-Raiders contest will kick at noon Chicago time, 6pm in London. This isn’t the first time we’ve had a Chicago sports team-Tottenham Hotspur synergy.
In 2014, Spurs played a friendly at the Chicago Fire, at their home in Toyota Park. The night before, Harry Kane and some other Spurs players were the guests of honor at Wrigley Field, where they threw out the first ball ahead of the Chicago Cubs game that night.
