Arsenal football club, on almost every level of the organization, often gets slammed by supporters, supporters of rivals, neutrals and pundits these days. The main target is usually manager Arsene Wenger, but the club board and owner Stan Kroenke often come under fire as well.

This isn’t new of course, but a fresh batch of criticism is circulating this international break. Former Arsenal manager George Graham said that no actual board exists at Arsenal, because “nothing changes” in an interview with The Guardian.

Meanwhile, former Gunners Emmanuel Petit and Lee Dixon also took massive swipes at the Wenger regime.

Graham addressed the recent joke of an Annual General Meeting where club chairman Sir Chips Keswick took no questions from the floor. Stan Kroenke’s (the man supporters call “Silent Stan” with disdain) ownership and the future strategy of the club were never discussed and this led to boos.

Graham said in the very lengthy interview that he does not keep up all that much with what goes on at the Emirates.

“I don’t bother because nothing changes. What’s the point? There’s no board at Arsenal. There are questions they’re obviously not going to answer. I heard [chief executive Ivan] Gazidis say they were over-performing. Over-performing?” Graham snorts in disbelief.
