Manchester United received quite a scare today, with news that striker Romelu Lukaku missed training with the Belgium national team due to an ankle injury. However, it’s all a false alarm as a scan was conducted and it revealed “no fracture or structural damage”.
It’s just the same injury that he suffered in training with United this past Friday, and that wasn’t enough to keep him out of action the next day, as he started, played all 90 minutes and scored in the 86′ in the 4-0 rout of Crystal Palace.
The Belgium national team sent out a statement on Lukaku which read: ‘Romelu Lukaku underwent an MRI scan but no fracture or structural damage has been diagnosed. The next days he will follow an individual training program. It is however too early to state that he won’t be match fit for the Bosnia and/or Cyprus game.’

In other Lukaku news, the forward plead not guilty today to a misdemeanor noise violation, stemming from a Beverly Hills incident in July. He was scheduled to appear in Los Angeles County court today, but did not. Here’s a link to much more on that.
