The force is strong in the bromance between Tottenham Hotspur Manager Mauricio Pochettino and striker Harry Kane. The love is growing so much so that Pochettino jokingly said that his wife is getting jealous; likewise for Kane’s wife.
Spurs thrashed home side Apoel Nicosia in UEFA Champions League Group H play today 3-0, and those goals came via a Harry Kane hat trick.
The 24-year-old Englishman has done so much for the north London club, as has Mauricio Pochettino, and they are deservedly beloved by club supporters.
You can feel the love all around right now.
“Now my wife is so jealous; and his wife too,” Pochettino said grinningly to reporters the GSP Stadium in Strovolos.
“No, I think it’s unbelievable. You know, it’s Harry Kane. He has unbelievable skills in front of goal. He has something special. That is why he is one of the best.”
“All the strikers that have this type of level they have something special in front of goals. They are killers. Harry has this special skill.”
In the win at the Cyprus side, Kane became the seventh British player to score a Champions League hat trick. Andy Cole, Mike Newell, Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney, Alan Shearer and Danny Welbeck are the others to achieve the feat.
