Bayern Munich could welcome Serge Gnabry back into the fold on Thursday night, when they stage their Champions League opener against Bodø/Glimt. Gnabry is back in full training, and is expected to make the matchday squad for the midweek continental competition. After several months on the sidelines, due to a serious adductor injury, this is a major milestone for the 31-year-old winger/attacking midfielder.

Gnabry was the last real injury concern for manager Vincent Kompany, now that Jamal Musiala returned to action over the weekend.

Bayern Munich Team News

Musiala missed the first three games of this young season due to his collapsing on the pitch in the preseason. The collapses were due to seizures caused by a neurological condition, but he’s back to match fitness levels now.

Musiala featured off the bench and played 33 minutes against FC Schalke 04 on Sunday. And thus, beyond those two, Kompany’s side has a clean bill of health. Since the team news for this one is light, we threw in a bonus piece of content in this Bayern match preview piece.
