Wan-Bissaka Questionable for United After Suffering Back Injury

Manchester United right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is now questionable for their next match, at home versus Leicester City on Sept 14, after having suffered a back injury while on international duty.

AWB moved to United from Crystal Palace this summer, and he immediately settled in. Off the heels of a dominant campaign with Palace last season, Wan-Bissaka has kept the superior form going with MUFC in the early going this season.

The stellar form has earned the fullback his first call-up with England, but the stint didn’t last long. The Football Association issued a statement indicating that Wan-Bissaka withdrew from England camp and “has returned to his club due to a back issue.”

The FA added that:

“With Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier already included in Gareth Southgate’s now 24-man squad, no replacements are planned.”

United are off to a rough start this season, and the last thing they need right now is one of their best players unavailable for selection for a prolonged period of time.

Midfielder Paul Pogba is an injury concern for United too, as he withdrew from the France squad this international break.
