Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has seen his stock rise meteorically this past season and a half. The Spurs and England youngster is a rising star for both club and country. Meanwhile Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is struggling a bit in the first season of #Pogback. He’s had his moments, at times, but has not come anywhere remotely close to living up to the hype that accompanied his return to United.
Pogba signed the richest contract in world football history at £89.3 million this past summer, and he’s certainly not providing a true return on investment right now.
Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes that midfielder Dele Alli is actually worth more than Paul Pogba. Redknapp is quoted in the Daily Telegraph:
“I think now he’s worth £100m.”
“If Pogba’s £90m, he’s more. He’s 20 years of age! The kid’s got everything — he scores goals, makes goals, can head it, run, dribble, got an edge to him, puts his foot in. I think he’s fantastic.”
Did Redknapp make a scorching hot take there? Or do you think he’s right? Let your opinion be heard, comments section is below.
