Marouane Fellaini is certainly winning over his remaining detractors in the Manchester United fan base. He scored his third and fourth goals in his last five competitions today, helping give United a 2-0 advantage heading into half time versus Crystal Palace. Given that Fellaini missed the midweek trip to CSKA Moscow due to injury, his start was a bit surprising.
Likewise for Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones, who also had suffered minor knocks that had put their status in doubt.
Fellaini took a beautiful cross from Ashley Young (his assist shows you why he’s starting over Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian) and converted in the 35′. Here’s the footage:

Fellaini would add a second scoring strike in the 49′ to give him a brace.
Juan Mata provided the first goal for United, on this brilliant assist from Marcus Rashford. It came just three minutes in, so it didn’t take the Red Devils long at all to take control of this one.
