Another dreadful showing for Manchester United and an overall nightmarish day for Marcus Rashford in the 2-0 defeat at West Ham United. The young English international, the only true, legitimate centre-forward/striker currently on United’s roster, blew a brilliant scoring chance, and just looked off in form all day.
It’s been a major problem all year, the inability to finish off scoring chances, and it led to Rashford becoming a top trending topic on social media, due to all the online criticism he received.

Then, to add injury to insult, Rashford was subbed off in the 61′ and replaced by Jesse Lingard. Now there’s a full blown injury crisis at United, especially in the attacking positions.
What will OGS do now when it comes to centre-forward selection? There are not fit strikers on the roster, and the decision this summer to sell Romelu Lukaku, without getting a replacement, seems about as boneheaded as possible right now.
Jesse Lingard is now playing centre-forward for Manchester United.
Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood are all now injured. #WHUMUN
