Man United Starting XI Prediction vs Newcastle United

Manchester United will head to Newcastle upon Tyne to take on Newcastle United, a side fighting to stay up in the Premier League. Newcastle was just regulated in 2016, but managed to win promotion on the very first try, so to get sent right down would be extremely disappointing to say the least. The Magpies head into this clash with the memory of being dropped still very fresh in their minds, and a current position in the table just one point above the drop zone.

However, that doesn’t mean this match will be a cake walk for United, as Jose Mourinho has yet to leave St. James Park victorious. It’s an astounding streak really, and it should come to an end on Sunday.

It’s been a very emotional week for Manchester United, with the 60th anniversary of the Munich air disaster on Tuesday, and the moving commemoration that accompanied it at Old Trafford. The memorial service was not without controversy, as both Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba found themselves in hot water over behavior that was initially misconstrued.

At first glance, it would have seen that their behavior was inappropriate, but upon further examination, they were both in the right.

Without further ado, here is the Man United Starting XI prediction:

Romelu Lukaku

Alexis Sanchez       Jesse Lingard    Juan Mata

Paul Pogba         Nemanja Matic

Luke Shaw      Marcos Rojo      Chris Smalling   Antonio Valencia

David de Gea
