Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho met the media a few hours ago to preview tomorrow night’s Premier League season opener against Leicester City at Old Trafford. We have video of the entire media session for you here below via YouTube.
There were a whole host of topics covered in this news conference, including: Mourinho essentially conceding defeat in the summer transfer window, complaining about how much he feels he’s being treated unfairly by the media, whining about how many key players he’ll missing for the opener, the fitness/injury situation and much much more.
Here’s the whole session, which runs just under seven minutes:
United will be without the services of the following injured players: Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo, Sergio Romero, Diogo Dalot, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic.
Also likely not to feature are the following players who just returned to training this week from their post World Cup holidays: Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young and Marouane Fellaini .
“They returned on Monday. You can imagine they are not really fit and ready,” Mourinho said of the players who reached the semifinals with their national teams. “But we have needs.”
Odds via Betway: United 11/20, Draw 14/5, Leicester 6/1
Prediction: United 0, Leicester City 0
