It seems very likely Cristiano Ronaldo will in fact force a move out of Real Madrid; at some point. Rumor mills are churning out of control on this subject right now, with Manchester United being speculated on as the eventual landing spot.

Supposedly, United made a bid for Ronaldo last year, but the deal fell apart due to Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement. Speculation has it that Sir Alex is now looking to try and tempt him back to Old Trafford. That’s word from The Guardian.

Nick Miller of The Guardian writes:

The word on the street is that Ronaldo actually isn’t truly contented at Real Madrid, and that he enjoyed himself much more with United, who have the requisite means to make this beautiful dream happen; specifically a massive pile of cash and the not inconsiderable persuasive talents of the former manager and now ambassador Sir Alex Ferguson, who perhaps owes United one after that whole David Moyes business. Assuming all those trophies he won weren’t enough.

Lots of media are getting in on the Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United rumors. It was widely reported that the former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said this about Ronaldo continuing his future at the Bernabeu. That was the first revelation of the day regarding Ronaldo back to Old Trafford rumors. (More on this)

Then you had Guillem Balague, a very prominent Spanish football journalist/pundit is predicting a Ronaldo return to the Theatre of Dreams. Balague, a Sky Sports pundit who has written for numerous Spanish and British newspapers, predicted correctly that Cristiano Ronaldo was going to Real Madrid. He broke the news of a pre-contract agreement between Real Madrid and Ronaldo, and it was confirmed by Calderon. So you see what kind of connections he has. Here’s more on that narrative.
