Man United having doctors examine Arturo Vidal’s knee before purchase

Manchester United’s Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw signings could be followed next by Juventus star Arturo Vidal. And right now United are like a automobile purchaser “kicking the tires” at a car dealership on their potential buy.

The Chilean star wants to join Manchester United over both Arsenal and Chelsea, it’s been claimed. And bookmakers have slashed odds on Vidal moving to Old Trafford. Of course, the Red Devils want to make sure he’s 100% fit first.

United have become the overwhelming favorite to obtain his signature, and supposedly a transfer fee has been agreed upon. According to the Daily Mail, it would be  £35 million. This is contradicted by reports in Italy claiming that Antonio Conte’s side won’t accept anything less than £40m for their star man. The Daily Mail believes the Chilean’s agent has held talks with the Reds as his client’s move to Old Trafford edges closer.

And the Metro report that United are willing to offer up an incredible £230,000-per-week contract to Arturo Vidal in order to tempt him to give up Champions League football next season.

Vidal is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world (just ask him, he’ll tell you himself), and new boss Louis Van Gaal is determined to partner him with £29 million signing of Herrera as United look to compete for the Premier League title.

Manchester United has explored the possibility of signing  Arturo Vidal since the winter. In January David Moyes watched him play in Juventus’ 4-1 victory over Cagliari and reportedly talked with Beppe Marotta after the match about bringing him to Old Trafford. Moyes was told if anything was to happen, it would not be until the summer. And it now looks like Louis van Gaal will indeed close that deal.

In fact, one Chilean media outlet says Arturo Vidal is already on the way to Old Trafford.
