Manchester United’s Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw signings could be followed next by Juventus star Arturo Vidal. The Chilean star wants to join Manchester United over both Arsenal and Chelsea, said the Daily Express on Monday.

And now the bookmakers have slashed odds on Vidal moving to Old Trafford.

In mid-May, it seemed like a deal for Arturo Vidal was on, and it was actually Sir Alex Ferguson who was negotiating the transaction while United was in between management; making the transition from David Moyes to Louis van Gaal.

From the Daily Star:

“Arturo Vidal has been heavily backed for a move to United this summer.

“The club are battling with Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid for his signature, and bookmakers believe a switch to Old Trafford is currently the most likely.”

A report in Italian media made a few days ago claims that a €45 million (that would be £30 million in the conversion) swoop for Arturo Vidal has been offered. He’s been long linked to United. But don’t count out the blue side of Manchester in this race just yet. Manchester City have supposedly submitted a huge bid, so they might still be a factor just yet.

United are planning to offer unsettled winger Nani plus cash to the Serie A side for Arturo Vidal. Despite Vidal’s importance to Juventus, the Italians are understood to be willing to business as they need to sell some players before they can buy some new ones.
