Liverpool FC and Southampton will clash tomorrow afternoon at Anfield in a Premier League fixture that features two clubs who are very familiar with one another. That’s because of all the transfer business the two sides have done with each other in recent years. Liverpool have bought so many players from the south coast club in recent transfer windows that it’s been a consistent punchline in the football world.
As for the series itself between the two clubs, it’s been good for the Anfield outfit, but not too one-sided. In 38 league meetings, there have been 10 draws, 10 Saints wins and 18 Liverpool victories.

Let’s take a look at the injury and fitness situations. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana all remain out as long term absentees for northwest England club, while Roberto Firmino, who came on after 72 minutes and scored the game winner Tuesday night, could see a return to the starting XI.
Obviously, his eye is okay right now. Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke could be in contention to see some minutes in this one. On the other sideline, Danny Ings is unavailable due to his status as a Liverpool loanee. Manolo Gabbiadini could see his return from a hamstring injury.
