After multiple attempts to sign Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi in the past two transfer windows, German giants Bayern Munich will be back after him again this summer. Complicating matters, this time they will see competition from Borussia Dortmund, according to The Telegraph.
Yes, it appears we could see a summer transfer window Der Klassikar battle for the young English international who still isn’t finding a regular place in the team at Stamford Bridge. With Christian Pulisic already Chelsea bound this summer, it doesn’t appear that CHO’s playing time situation will improve at all.
And BVB could be the perfect destination for him, with a.) Pulisic already going the other way like we said and b.) the prospect of current Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho leaving, potentially for Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain.
The Telegraph writes that: “Bayern are still in pole position to sign Hudson-Odoi if he does leave Chelsea in the summer, but Dortmund’s interest raises the prospect of a bidding war.”
Further complicating the opportunity for a deal is Chelsea’s transfer ban, because they would be unable to acquire a replacement for Hudson-Odoi. The 18-year-old received his first senior England national team call-up this international break, and he’s considered one of the most promising young players in all of Europe.
