It’s finally starting to be an exciting summer at Chelsea, with a whole lot going on. While we still have a bit of time until the preseason exhibition games begin, there is no shortage of topics to discuss today.

Today saw the Chelsea double swoop from Napoli- manager Maurizio Sarri and midfielder Jorginho finally made official. Both are set to make their Blues debuts down under nine days from now; Goal has more at this link. Chelsea open their preseason in Perth against Perth Glory.
“I look forward to starting work and meeting the players on Monday ahead of traveling to Australia, where I will be able to get to know the squad and begin our match action,” Sarri told the club’s official website.

-Congratulations to Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois for helping lead Belgium to their highest World Cup finish in history. Both Chelsea players had excellent tournaments.
Courtois kept a clean sheet and Hazard scored the second of the Red Devils’ two goals in their 2-0 win over England in the third place game.

After the game, Hazard made comments that hinted at an exit from Chelsea. He’s been linked to Real Madrid for several years already, and the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus may just provide the perfect opening.
“After six wonderful years at Chelsea, it might be time to discover something different,” Hazard told reporters after the game.
