Arsenal FC heads to the Turf Moor on Championship Sunday in a match that doesn’t really mean much for either side, but should be entertaining nonetheless. Burnley have already long ensured that they will safely stay up for next season while Arsenal no longer have a chance to get back into the UEFA Champions League via a top four finish.
Their UCL hopes now rest with beating arch-rivals Chelsea in the London derby UEFA Europa League Final later this month. But that’s down the road, for now let’s take a look at the fitness situation for both sides in the Premier League season finale.
Sead Kolasinac (knock) and Ainsley Maitland-Niles (knock) are doubtful for the visitors whilst five players are confirmed as unavailable for selection. That list includes Hector Bellerín (knee), Rob Holding (knee), Danny Welbeck (ankle) Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Denis Suárez (groin).
In the case of the final two, we have seen the last of them in an Arsenal shirt. Flipping over to the hosts, Phil Bardsley is a doubt due to a leg issue while Aaron Lennon (knee, Jun), Robert Brady (knock, unknown) and Steven Defour (calf) are all out injured.
