As a studio analyst for the Women’s World Cup, former U.S. Women’s National Team star defender and three-time Olympic Gold medalist Heather Mitts says the timeline for finding the next leadership is in FIFA’s favor:
“I like the fact that they have time to actually go out and find the right person to run and make the best decision going forward so they can do it right.”
Heater Mitts is right, there is no rush. Ousting Sepp Blatter won’t accomplish anything though unless his replacement is someone who is the polar opposite in ethics and morals. And this transition comes with the World Cup starting in mere days.
