VIDEO: Brady Hoke mishandles QB health issues, makes very tone deaf soundbite

Shane Morris replaced Devin Gardner as Michigan starting quarterback and he had an extremely rough day. He went just 7-19 passing for 49 yards and was clearly injured on this play here. Then he suffered a shot to the head causing him to wobble around and display concussion type symptoms. Yet Brady Hoke let stay in for another play.

Watch the video:

You’ll see the lefty signal caller pretty much faint, and yet Hoke leaves him in the game.

Then things got even worse for the under fire coach. This is a really unfortunate soundbite that should get Hoke suspended; if he still has job come Monday. (more on that here)

“I don’t know if he had a concussion or not, I don’t know that,” Hoke said. “Shane’s a pretty competitive, tough kid. And Shane wanted to be the quarterback, and so, believe me, if he didn’t want to be he would’ve come to the sideline or stayed down.” (M Live)

Asked if he saw his sophomore quarterback looking “wobbly” after the hit, Hoke said he did not.

“I did not,” he replied. “I didn’t see it. I can only answer for me.”

Hoke did not give an update on Morris’ health.
