Ah yes, the Alabama football season preview! No shortage of storylines here. As the Crimson Tide are the most dominant program in college football right now, they always get my #1 spot in my season preview series. They’re the headlining act in this show; save the best for last. And post plenty of gratuitous Katherine Webb pictures.
Here we are, 25 days from the kickoff the season; with Alabama football getting you ready to Roll Tide.

Alabama football reasons to get EXCITED! ALL CAPS! The national title game is within reach. Certainly the SEC title game is the minimum expectation. Yes, they lost ton of NFL talent. However, it all reloads. I have all these guys in the first round of my next NFL mock draft already: Cyrus Kouandjio, OT, AJ McCarron, QB, C.J. Mosley, ILB, Adrian Hubbard, DE/OLB, HaHa Clinton-Dix, S. This is not a joke name. Yes, truth is often stranger than fiction. I couldn’t make up a name this goofy. I hope Auburn has a DB named Lollerskates Weiner-Sext.
People question AJ McCarron because of his height. However, I disagree, he can find passing lanes just fine. He’s already proven he doesn’t need to be any taller to see over the line. Why don’t you ask Russell Wilson if he’s having any issues despite being 5’9?. With Nick Saban and coordinators Doug Nussmeier and Kirby Smart, the Alabama football coaching staff is top notch.
The defense was the best in the nation last year; and it has 8 starters returning. Do that math people. The offense might be more explosive; with more play-makers this year.
Alabama football reasons to be worried :( the offensive line is extremely inexperienced. T.J. Yeldon is great, but who will he run behind? That’s all I got for issues with this Alabama football team. You saw them DEMOLISH NOTRE DAME INTO 30 MILLION PIECES a few months ago. Just stay healthy and it’s all there for them. Expectations are high. They should be.
Alabama football key games: EVERY game. the spotlight and the target is always on you. With of course Sept 14th vs Texas A&M being the most hyped. November 9th versus LSU will be huge too. And August 31st versus a good Virginia Tech will say a lot too. It’s 4th BCS title in 5 years or bust. Period.
Alabama football bottom line: Even if they stumble once in the regular season, they’ll probably likely be playing for the national title again. Only the injury bug will stop the Tide from turning everyone over into 14-0.
