Alshon Jeffery, that's Alshon Jeffery, not Alshon Jeffries, or Alshon Jeffrey (I can't believe how many people in the national NFL media make that mistake) is up for the VIZIO Top Value Performer award which recognizes the players whose on-field performance most exceeds the value of their contract. Beating Packers critical to Bears’ eventual Super Bowl goal
By Jeremy Harris There are many Chicago Bears' fans who seem shockingly indifferent about the Bears and Green Bay Packers game Sunday, the outcome of which will determine the NFC North division champions. The detractors argue that the Bears have no chance of winning the Super Bowl this season and likely not even a playoff game and thus a playoff appearance in and of itself … [Read more...] about Beating Packers critical to Bears’ eventual Super Bowl goal
Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears: brutally honest preview
It's the final week of the regular season and the winner of the NFC North comes down to the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears who have combined to lose 14 games this season. The Packers are fresh off a disheartening loss at home to the stumbling Pittsburgh Steelers while the Bears are licking their wounds after a 54-11 shellacking courtesy of the Philadelphia … [Read more...] about Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears: brutally honest preview
Chicago Bears vs Green Bay: nuggets, tidbits and musings
Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers as a de facto, but not de jure playoff game. Somewhere around Waukegan (Jereme Richmond territory!), Racine or Beloit or somewhere the battle line is drawn. This week the game is so big that I deferred brutally honest preview to my Packers writer Nick Grays. I delegated the history lessons and wonkishness to Jeremy Harris. So this is my random … [Read more...] about Chicago Bears vs Green Bay: nuggets, tidbits and musings
Jay Cutler supporter LASHES OUT in comments section
Jay Cutler is one of those quarterbacks, like Tommy Rees or Jordan Lynch, which elicit very strong feelings from fans. Or anti-fans. Or I could just say that Jay Cutler brings out the football stupid. This beauty of a comment comes to us from "Anonymous." (Don't they all?) And it was made in reference to the Jay Cutler surly and terse presser post that got 3,000 page views this … [Read more...] about Jay Cutler supporter LASHES OUT in comments section
AUDIO: Jay Cutler gives extremely terse and surly press conference
Jay Cutler has been called many derogatory names during his four years with the Chicago Bears. We'll just stick to the family-friendly adjectives in this post. We're not going to name call or use insults. Jay Cutler has a tendency to be rather surly, insouciant, condescending, cold, terse, apathetic and even rude to the media at times. This is one of those times. (And those … [Read more...] about AUDIO: Jay Cutler gives extremely terse and surly press conference
PHOTO: Bears fan burns his Jay Cutler jersey
Chicago Bears are blaming Jay Cutler for the disgusting 54-11 Philadelphia Eagles loss last night on NBC Sunday night football. It was essentially a meaningless exhibition game for Chip Kelly and the Eagles, but they rolled up over 500 total yards and close to 300 yards rushing on the Bears defense. Chicago had a chance to clinch the NFC North and they shat the bed. But to … [Read more...] about PHOTO: Bears fan burns his Jay Cutler jersey
Blackhawks legend Jeremy Roenick TRASHES Jay Cutler
Jeremy Roenick is one of the most beloved athletes in Chicago sports history. The former Blackhawks Center and NBC Sports NHL analyst was a favorite with fans and media due to his outgoing, affable and colorful personality. Bears QB Jay Cutler, on the other hand, has a reputation (whether deserved or not) for extreme apathy, insouciance and surliness. Cutler led a Bears … [Read more...] about Blackhawks legend Jeremy Roenick TRASHES Jay Cutler
Chicago Bears “quarterback controversy” debated by NBC talking heads
Everyone has an opinion on the so-called Chicago Bears quarterback controversy. Well, at least we had a Chicago Bears QB controversy. We don't anymore.
