Chicago Bears are blaming Jay Cutler for the disgusting 54-11 Philadelphia Eagles loss last night on NBC Sunday night football. It was essentially a meaningless exhibition game for Chip Kelly and the Eagles, but they rolled up over 500 total yards and close to 300 yards rushing on the Bears defense. Chicago had a chance to clinch the NFC North and they shat the bed. But to blame Jay Cutler?
Is it his fault the defense had a historically bad effort? (Did they even put up an effort?) Can you blame Jay Cutler for the Eagles dominating the Bears so thoroughly on the other side of the ball?
How can you blame Jay Cutler for an O Line that allowed him to get sacked 5 times? And provided so few holes for the running game that the Bears ball-carriers gained just 3.2 yards per rush. What kind of Bears fan burns a Jay Cutler jersey in response to that? Well, read his Twitter bio to learn who this guy is. He’s also a White Sox and wrestling fan; who speaks in NSFW language

Jay Cutler did not lose this game. But on the flip side, he didn’t do anything to win it either. He played very mediocre at best. Maybe mediocre is a complimentary stretch versus the 31st ranked (next to last) pass defense in the NFL
