The 2013 NASCAR season is about to begin as Daytona 500 Speedweek. And a new season brings new digital entertainment with the Dale Earnhardt Jr podcast.

The Dale Earnhardt Jr podcast will be heard on Dirty Mo Radio, an online home for radio-style talk centrally themed around NASCAR’s 10-time most popular driver.  Dirty Mo Radio will be based at Earnhardt Jr.’s official site, DaleJr.com, but every Dale Earnhardt Jr podcast will also be available free-of-charge on common podcasting outlets such as iTunes.
“Dirty Mo Radio’s programming will cover a wide range of topics and perspectives,” said Kelley Earnhardt Miller, general manager of JR Motorsports.  “Racing is the biggest part of Dale’s life, but it’s not the only part.  We hope to create programming not just about Dale but about his interests, such as music, sports, and NASCAR history.”
Dirty Mo Radio will officially launch on Monday, Feb. 18, with the debut of The Dale Jr. Download – a weekly podcast that will recap Earnhardt Jr.’s previous race with behind-the-scenes insight from team members, media, and family.  It will be hosted by North Carolina radio personality Taylor Zarzour and air every Monday throughout the NASCAR season.
“On Mondays, we do the same thing at the shop that all race fans do  – talk about the weekend’s races,” said Earnhardt Miller.  “It’s the first day of the work week, so we dissect what was good, what was bad, and how our favorite drivers fared.  That is essentially what you can expect on The Dale Jr. Download.  We have a lot of different programming ideas for Dirty Mo Radio, but to launch us off, we felt the first podcast has to be devoted to Dale’s on-track activity, because that’s what fans care about most.”
