The rebuild of Manchester United could definitely take some time, so get ready and dig your heels in for that. The upshot is that we’ll have a summer transfer window filled with many comings and goings. And with Manchester United linked to approximately 97,324 players already, the time is right for some Red Devils transfer talk.

In today’s edition we start with the latest potential candidate to possibly replace David de Gea, should the Spaniard’s future lie elsewhere. United have previously been linked with Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak and AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, as De Gea shows consistently shows up in transfer narratives connecting him to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Now the new target is Barcelona back-up shot-stopper Jasper Cillessen, who wants out of Catalonia, due to his being unable to unseat No. 1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The price would reportedly be around €30m as a host of Premier League clubs are interested in addition to United.

According to Catalan media outlet Sport, West Ham are also keen, as are Everton, who are regarded to be the front-runners right now.

Next we move on to the latest surrounding Crystal Palace right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who United reportedly bid £40 million for, but saw that proposal rejected. According to Sky Sports, Wan-Bissaka does indeed favor a move to United:

“Although Wan-Bissaka is interested in moving to Old Trafford, he has not put in a transfer request and is not agitating for a move.”

The Sky article also reports that Palace won’t take less than £50m for the 21-year-0ld who won the team’s player of the year award this past season.

Finally, if you thought the transfer narrative surrounding Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff was dead and buried, well, there seems to be an about face on that storyline.

According to the Daily Mirror, United are now confident that they’ll acquire the 21-year-old, with an offer of £25 million expected to be sufficient enough to get the deal done.
