Arsenal FC Transfer Talk: Pablo Fornals, Mohamed Elneny, Aaron Ramsey

The mid November international break is certainly the perfect time to talk some transfer rumors, as the January window will be here before you know it. In this article we focus on Arsenal FC, and we begin with who might be coming into the midfield, as it appears Aaron Ramsey will be headed out.

After assuming the managerial position in May, Unai Emery began his midfield makeover in the summer transfer window. And now it looks like that trend will continue in the January transfer window. There have been signs pointing to a Ramsey exit for quite some time, but where will he land?

He’s been linked domestically to Liverpool and Manchester United; and abroad to Bayern Munich, Juventus, Real Madrid and AC Milan. However, The Daily Express, citing Bleacher Report, claim that “sources close to Ramsey suggest talk of a switch to Bayern is premature.”

It appears, at least as of now that Juve have replaced Bayern as the supposed front-runner. Wherever he goes, the north London side will need to get a deal done in the upcoming window because in the summer he’ll be available on a free.

Then begins a bit of a transfer window domino theory.

As for Ramsey’s replacement, the club is rumored to be targeting Villareal’s Pablo Fornal. The Sun writes that Arsenal are prepared to pay the Spaniard’s £17.8 million release clause. Partial funding for this acquisition, the London tabloid says, could come via offloading Mohamed Elneny.

The Gunners will reportedly part ways for the Egyptian international for about £15 million. And with that we conclude this game of hypothetical midfield musical chairs…for now. Obviously, with so many teams linked to Ramsey right now, it’s a very fluid situation.
