Major questions surround the future football career of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. This past week, he flew to Pittsburgh, in the United States of America, to undergo knee ligament repair surgery. The procedure was successful, and Ibrahimovic vowed that he will return to action. His agent, Mino Raiola, also released a statement also claiming that Zlatan’s career is far from over.

It could still be awhile before he returns though, and when he does, it is unknown what team he will play for.

He signed on with Manchester United for a free transfer, one year deal last summer; and that contract expires at the end of the season.

He has very lucrative offers from both Los Angeles clubs in Major League Soccer. While Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career on the pitch remains unresolved, he definitely has no “struggles” with financial issues.

Ibrahimovic tops the list of footballers on the Sunday Times Rich List, which just came out today. He’s also the second wealthiest sports man in the United Kingdom, behind only Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton.

He’s one of three United figures, and four with Manchester ties on the list. Ibrahimovic is just ahead of teammate Wayne Rooney, and his manager Jose Mourinho.

Manchester City Manager Pep Guardiola is tied with former Chicago Bull and Los Angeles Laker Luol Deng (who has dual citizenship in Sudan and Great Britain) for ninth place.
