NBC Universo held a poll among viewers asking fans what is the question that they most want answered in advance of Sunday’s Manchester United versus Tottenham Hotspur match. It’s the Premier League regular season opener for both teams but poll respondents were most interested in the question “Will Javier Hernandez, or Chicharito remain a Red Devil?”

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez who injured his collarbone this summer has been the subject of rumors and gossip this summer transfer window. Just today, a few tabloids are claiming that West Ham are interested, and could be launching a bid soon.

Speculation even has Chicharito going to Tottenham Hotspur, adding more intrigue to this fixture. Reports have stated that Tottenham, who finished fifth last season, might be looking to add to their attacking options. At the moment, there are several options looming over Chicharito and his future at Manchester United. Spurs Manager Mauricio Pochettino has shot down this narrative though.

And United Manager Louis van Gaal made public comments towards the beginning of United’s preseason tour in the United States indicating that Chicharito would be sticking around.

Speaking of transfer rumors involving both teams, Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris (who had been previously linked as a potential replacement for David de Gea should the current United #1 move on to Real Madrid) could finally be ready to take the pitch Saturday, after suffering a broken wrist in pre-season competition. Despite having limited physical contact since suffering his injury, Lloris’s participation will be a game-time decision just before kick-off.
