The Milwaukee Bucks waived forward Drew Gooden under the amnesty provision tonight. The Bucks designated Drew Gooden as the team’s amnesty player as allowed by the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement, General Manager John Hammond announced today.

Drew Gooden originally signed with the Bucks as a free agent prior to the 2010-11 season. The 11-year NBA veteran appeared in 107 games over three seasons with the Bucks, averaging 11.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest. You obviously remember Drew Gooden during his recent days with the Chicago Bulls too.

It would be interesting to see if the Bulls amnesty Carlos Boozer. There’s been talk of it, but I just don’t see it happening. Of course, how many people though the L.A. Lakers would amnesty Metta World Peace?
